A2 overnight closures - Brenley to Bridge
What’s happening
Continuing with our work to repair and maintain the A2, we’ll soon be carrying out resurfacing and improvements between Brenley Corner and Bridge. This will maintain safety and improve the journey for road users, while preventing the need for unplanned closures.
We’ll carry out this work weeknights between 8pm and 6am only, when there is less traffic on the road.
Closure information
The A2 eastbound will be closed between Brenley Corner and Bridge weeknights, 8pm to 6am, from Monday 18 to Friday 29 September, and overnight on Thursday 2 and Friday 3 November.
The A2 westbound will then be closed between Bridge and Brenley Corner weeknights, 8pm to 6am, from Monday 2 October to Wednesday 1 November.
A diversion route will be in place via the A299 Thanet Way and A256.
Access will be maintained to properties with access directly off the A2, please approach the closure point for an escort. This is for access only and there may be a short delay while we make the area safe for you to pass.
This work is subject to favourable weather conditions, for example heavy rain may affect the progress.
